Christmas decorating tips
Start with lights
Lights set the mood indoors and out. A common rule of thumb is about 100 mini lights per foot of tree height; choose warm white for a cozy look or multicolor for a playful one.
Pick shatterproof ornaments
Shatterproof ornaments look like glass but won't break if they fall, which makes them a good choice for homes with kids or pets.
Decorate in layers
Combine a wreath on the door, garland or a sign on the porch, and tabletop pieces inside so the theme carries from the curb to the dinner table.
Christmas Decorations FAQ
How early should I order Christmas decorations?
Order by early December (at least two weeks before you want to decorate) to be safe. Most Festive Decor orders arrive in 5β10 business days, ship from warehouses in the USA, and orders over $75 ship free.
When should I put up Christmas decorations?
Most people in the U.S. decorate for Christmas between the weekend after Thanksgiving and early December. Outdoor lights and inflatables are often set up first, while the weather still allows, followed by the tree and indoor decor.
Are your Christmas decorations safe for homes with kids and pets?
Many of our ornaments are shatterproof, meaning they won't break if knocked off the tree. Each product page lists what an item is made of and whether it's meant for indoor or outdoor use, so you can choose what suits your home.
Can I use these Christmas lights outdoors?
Only if the product says so. Look for outdoor or weather-resistant ratings in the product details; items without them should stay indoors or in covered spots like a porch.
What if my decorations arrive damaged?
We'll replace or refund them at no cost. Send a photo within 7 days of delivery to support@festivedecor.store; unused items can also be returned within 30 days.
